Bike Works had been developing a Strategic Plan--with fits and starts--for years. Turnover in consultants and staff, along with typical organizational tension, had kept even their Strategic Framework—the Mission, Vision, and Values statements—from fruition.
nos stepped into planning fatigue with the intention to complete the Strategic Framework (Mission,Vision, Values) within three months. Through a series of rigorous sessions with staff and board members, nos facilitated agreement on a timeline, a clear approval process, and, of course, the content of the Strategic Framework.
Not only were these deliverables met, the organization also reported a marked increase in familiarity and trust and greater participation among and between board members and staff.
